SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A second suspect is now behind bars in connection with a pair of armed robberies last week in West Shreveport.

The first happened December 29 at an apartment complex in the 8100 block of Pines Rd. In that case, the victim's cell phone and car were taken. The victim described 2 armed men with their faces covered.

A clerk at a convenience store in the 4900 block of Jewella was also robbed at gunpoint by 2 masked men on December 29.

Investigators tracked the car stolen from the apartment complex down the next day in a driveway in the 900 block of Whispering Lake Dr. Two men seen walking out of the home and getting into the car were taken in for questioning.

Investigators say they were able to determine one of them had no knowledge of the crimes, but they were able to connect 22-year-old Christopher Dumas with both armed robberies.

Now, Shreveport police say they have identified and arrested a 16-year-old male as the second suspect. The teen has been booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center.

Both are charged with 2 counts of armed robbery.
