BERMUDA, LA (KSLA) -

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a Robeline man in connection with the theft of about 300 pounds of pecans from a local business.

Deputies were called to the business in the 1600 block of La. Hwy. 119 near the Bermuda commity for a report of a business burglary. While there. deputies learned that someone had forced their way inside by breaking a window. The pecans stolen were valued at less than $600 dollars.

During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that an employee had been absent from work for a couple of days.

Deputies went to a residence in the 100 block of Pine Street, in Robeline, La., where the employee was believed to be residing. After getting permission to search the residence, deputies say they found the stolen pecans hidden in a room. Deputies say Nelson admitted to the burglary.
