BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

A 2-alarm house fire kept Bossier City firefighters busy Saturday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the house fire in the 2200 block of Landau Lane around 12:00 p.m. Saturday.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to bring the 2-story blaze under control.  A second alarm was called because of the size of the fire.

The home was heavily damaged on both floor as well as the attic.  A patio gazebo in the backyard was also destroyed.

The homeowners were not at home at the time of the fire.  Two family dogs were there and died in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
