BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

Fire destroyed a Bossier City home early Saturday morning, and damaged the 2 homes next door.

According to Bossier City spokesperson Mark Natale, firefighters were called to the house in the 2400 block of Barbara Street just before 1 a.m. and arrived to find the single-story wood-framed structure fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes, according to Natale, who also says the occupant of the residence was not at home at the time of the fire.

The 2 homes on either side of the house were also damaged by the radiant heat from the blaze.

There are no reports of any injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
