Campbell Soup Company is recalling about 300 cases of sauce, the FDA announced on their website on Tuesday.
The FDA said the recall is for Prego Traditional Italian sauce because of a risk of spoilage.
The products affected by the recall can be identified by their "best by" date of June, 16, 2015 and a four digit code ranging from "CT BJ ZV 0330" through "CT BJ ZV 0449," the FDA said.
The recalled products were shipped to retail distribution centers in Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico and Oklahoma, and the FDA said the recall is limited to the U.S.
The FDA said no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled product.
Consumers who bought the product should return it to the store where they bought it, the FDA said.
