Shooting victims spotted in SUV by off-duty SPD officer

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Police are investigating a shooting that injured 2 people Monday night.

It reportedly happened in front of the Walgreens at N. Market and Martin Luther King Drive, but the victims were found in the 2200 block of Barksdale Boulevard in Bossier City, where an off-duty Shreveport police officer spotted their GMC Envoy.

The officer says he saw that the men had been shot when he got closer to the vehicle. One had been shot in the leg. The other had been shot in the torso. There were 5 bullet holes in the SUV.

The names and conditions of the men have not been released. Police are still investigating how the shooting started.
