KEITHVILLE, LA (KSLA) -

The intersection of Old Mansfield and Keithville Springridge roads reopened Monday afternoon after two trains collided in Keithville.

It happened just after 6:30 a.m. on Clingman Road. Caddo Parish deputies say a southbound Union Pacific  train on the main track was diverted onto a side track and ran into a parked coal train.

Four crew members on the moving train were injured. Officials say all suffered minor injuries.

Deputies thought diesel was leaking from one of the trains. Hazmat crews were called in but the liquid turned out to be anti-freeze and oil.  Officials say it does not pose a danger.

Fire District 6 is assisting with the cleanup.

Deputies are investigating the cause of the collision.
