Police searching for suspects in Clifton armed robbery, assault

CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) -

Police are investigating an armed robbery and assault that occurred in Clifton early this morning.

It happened around the time of 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Warner Street. 

Police say the two victims were confronted by three suspects, at least one of which was armed with a handgun. 

One of the victims was punched, and knocked to the ground during the offense.  Personal property was taken from both victims. 

The suspects were described as:

  • Suspect 1:  Male, black, 20 to 23 years old, 5'10" tall, wearing a black camouflage coat.
  • Suspects 2 & 3: Male, black, 20 to 23 years old, 5'10" tall

    Since September, employees have been given three options:  Get the flu shot, get an approved religious or medical exemption, or leave Essentia. At least 50 people have lost their jobs thus far.
