Pedestrian killed by train in BC identified

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

The man killed when he was attempting to cross the railroad tracks in front of a train has been identified.

The victim is Jimmy Dodson, 67, of Little Rock, Arkansas.

The accident happened just before 12:30 p.m. on the tracks at Airline and Interstate 20 in Bossier City.  Witnesses told police that Dodson attempted to cross the railroad tracks in front of a moving train and was struck.  

Dodson climbed over the guardrail as the crossing arms were down and signal lights were active.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
