NATCHITOCHES, LA (KSLA) -

Three people have been arrested in connection with a deadly Christmas day shooting in Natchitoches.

According to release from Natchitoches Police Department Capt. Brad Walker, officers responded to several calls to the police station reporting multiple gunshots and a large group of people in the parking lot of Moffet's Texaco at 1424 Texas St. in the city.

Officers arrived at the scene & found no people or cars in the parking lot, but they did find several bullet casings. Detectives were called out to begin an investigation and Capt. Walker says several "persons of interest" were interviewed that night.

On Christmas Day around 8 p.m., Donna Franklin came to the police station and reported that her son LaBraynt Franklin was missing since the night before and had not been heard or seen since. The next morning, Franklin and other relatives were in the area looking for LaBrayant when one of the searchers found his body behind a building. Capt. Walker did not specify which building.

Walker says investigators were called to the scene and multiple suspects and witnesses were interviewed during the day and into the night. The investigation revealed that there had been a large fight in the parking lot that escalated into a shootout between rival parties.

Detectives arrested 31-year-old Joseph Llorence of 1526 Berry Ave in Natchitoches on one count of manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and 2 bench warrants. He was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center. Also arrested was Randy Lewis, 30, of 1025 Allen St in Natchitoches on 1 count inciting a riot, principal to manslaughter and discharging a firearm inside the city limits.

21-year-old Justin Haskett of 1526 Berry Ave. was also arrested, charged with one count of discharging a firearm inside the city limits.
