SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

One of the suspects in the armed robbery of a local seafood restaurant has been arrested.

A warrant was issued for 21-year-old Keountaye Moody Tuesday, charging him with 1 count of armed robbery, after detectives connected him with the holdup at Lil' John's Seafood in the 7700 block of Linwood Avenue just before 8 p.m. Saturday.

Officers called to the Cedar Grove eatery were told that four male suspects, at least one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered the business with their faces covered by bandannas. One of the men reportedly jumped the counter and opened the cash register, removing the money tray. The robbers then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.

Police say Moody turned himself in at the Caddo Correctional Center on Thursday night. Police are still working to identify the other bandits, and to determine whether Moody is responsible for other similar crimes.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Keountaye Moody is urged to contact Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or www.lockemup.org
