Seven people were arrested Monday following a months-long investigation into a marijuana distribution network in the Tri-State.
On Monday, members of the Clermont County Narcotics Unit and the Cincinnati Police Department Major Drug Offenders Unit conducted eight search warrants, five in Clermont County and three in the City of Cincinnati.
In total, 316 pounds of marijuana were seized, $25,000 in U.S. currency, 55 firearms, several thousand rounds of ammunition, ten vehicles, one fishing boat and several computers and documents.
The following individuals were arrested and charged with Drug Possession and Drug Trafficking:
Thomas Awad, Sr., white male, 6/14/55
Tomas Awad, Jr., white male, 3/30/90
Michael Awad, white male, 5/3/48
Richard Awad, white male, 8/23/51
Ronald Day, white male, 11/6/45
Two additional individuals were arrested, Angela Hale, 9/7/73, charged with Tampering with Evidence, and Jonathan Jacobs, 7/25/80, arrested on an open warrant.
Authorities said additional arrests and charges are expected as the investigation continues.
