LINDEN, TX (KSLA) -
The Silver Alert has been canceled for an elderly woman from Ft. Worth who went missing from a Queen City, TX hotel room Friday morning.
Queen City Police Chief Robert McGee says a patrol officer spotted 83-year-old Rosemary Warren Thomas around 2:30 a.m. Friday driving along Hwy 59 at about 20 mph. The officer reported that the woman thought she was still in Ft. Worth, and that she had apparently been on the road for more than 10 hours.
Chief McGee says the officer helped the woman get checked in to a local hotel so that she could rest for the night, but when police checked back in on her around 11 a.m., she was gone again.
In the meantime, police had made contact with the Ft. Worth Police Department, and learned that Thomas was missing and suffers from Alzheimer's disease.
