Tucson Police are searching for the driver they say hit a pedestrian and took off.
According to Tucson Police, the accident happened around 6:30pm Thursday.
Tucson Fire Department and TPD responded to call of a man down at Liberty/Drexel.
Upon arrival, they located an adult male between 30 and 40 years of age with life-threatening injuries.
According to TPD, it appears to be a hit and run pedestrian accident based on witness accounts.
The vehicle fled westbound on Drexel.
The only description given is "possibly a dark colored sedan".
The victim was transported to a local area hospital. Traffic was closed down for hours.
