Day one of the murder trial of Amber Deloach wrapped up Tuesday, and it was a day when the jury heard very disturbing and graphic details.
The day started with opening arguments. The prosecution told the jury they are going to prove that Shan Cheley raped and murdered Amber Deloach, but the defense says that Amber consented to being intimate and that someone else murdered her.
Deloach's sister, along with many other witnesses, have testified about how she died. Even though Amber was found in a burning car, the medical examiner says she died from strangulation.
The medical examiner who performed the autopsy on Deloach says he found 35 external injuries on her, including gashes to her face and some burns from the fire.
