Salvation Army Angel Tree distribution begins

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Salvation Army Angel Tree gift distributions began Tuesday in Shreveport, as gifts donated by generous people who took the time to help make children's wishes come true.

Grateful parents began picking up donated Christmas presents Tuesday by appointment only, which continues Thursday.

Those who didn't get the chance to sign their children up for the Angel Tree will have another chance to find help putting something under the tree on Thursday morning starting at 9 a.m.

The Salvation Army is teaming up with Toys for Tots to help make sure as many children as possible receive a present.

Thursday's distribution is first come, first serve, at the Salvation Army's warehouse location at 8810 Jewella Avenue in Shreveport.
