    The fight over Common Core got hotter with dueling lawsuits. On Tuesday afternoon, The Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) voted 6- 4 to join a lawsuit filed by parents and teachers against Governor Bobby Jindal. Governor Jindal's administration then filed their own lawsuit.

COVINGTON, KENTUCKY (FOX19) -

Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear welcomed on Wednesday two informatics companies to Covington.

Xcelerated Learning Dynamics and Clear Measures are establishing operations in the the Corporex Cos. RiverCenter office complex in Covington. 

The openings, combined with expansions of the parent companies, will result in 341 jobs over the next three years, Beshear's office said.

Clear Measures is locating 121 jobs in Covington, with a projection of adding 60 additional jobs in the next three years, bringing its total employment to 181.

Xcelerated Learning Dynamics is creating up to 50 jobs in the next three years.

XLD was launched from Covington-based TiER1 Performance Solutions in 2012 to help hospital systems meet the challenges of health care reform by quickly aligning their workforces with the  Affordable Care Act. TiER1 has recently located 70 jobs to the RiverCenter complex and is planning to add 40 more in the next three years, Beshear's office said.
