HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

Two former Henrico principals are facing drug charges in Alabama.

Ronald Rodriguez, who was Henrico High School's principal, and his fiance Dana Bost, who was at Highland Springs High School, are now both in jail. According to the Mobile Sheriff's Office, Rodriguez has been charged with two counts of possession of marijuana, one charge is a felony. Bost is also charged with possession of marijuana and a felony charge of a controlled substance cocaine.

According to the Houston NBC affiliate, Local2,the couple was arrested October 18 in Prichard, Alabama.

While they were arrested in Alabama, both were working in the Houston Independent School District - Rodriguez as a principal, Bost as the chief high school officer.

The NBC affiliate reports ,"According to court records, the two were arrested on I-65 in Alabama and the Prichard police officer on scene alleges the following property was found in their rental car: "large bag w/4 smaller bags w/green leafy substance;" five "hand-rolled cigarettes w/green leafy substance" and a "small baggy w/white powdery substance."

Both posted bond.

Houston school officials say Rodriguez was the principal at Wheatley High School and Bost was a HISD officer.  Both are no longer with the district.

Rodriguez left Henrico High School at the end of last school year.  At the time he accepted a job to be the principal at Meadowbrook High in Chesterfield but left before the new school year to take the job in Texas.  Bost also left Highland Springs High School in June.
