SABINE PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A Center, TX man driving a salt water truck for an East Texas company has died as a result of a crash in Sabine Parish.

According to Sabine Parish Deputy Coroner Ron Rivers, 29-year-old Eldon Hendrix II died as a result of injuries he suffered when he lost control of the 2007 Mack truck he was driving on LA Hwy 191 Wednesday afternoon, one mile north of LA Hwy 174.

Rivers says Hendrix was heading northbound on Hwy 191 when he lost control in a curve and rolled when he hit a ditch. Hendrix was thrown from the truck, owned by J&L Trucking. It's not yet known whether he was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

Rivers says his body has been sent for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and to undergo routine toxicology testing.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by Louisiana State Police.
