TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

A glitch in computer systems caused all of Texarkana, Texas' tornado sirens to sound off late Sunday night, according to Fire Chief Eric Schlotter.

There was no severe weather in the area.

Schlotter says city officials are investigating the malfunction, and that citizens are encouraged to call 911 if concerned about a tornado threat or faulty siren.

The sirens are tested every Wednesday in allowable weather, and will continue to be monitored for proper performance.

Residents can sign up to receive weather alerts through CodeRed on the City's website www.ci.texarkana.tx.us.
