Suspect sought in series of overnight business burglaries in East Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

The search is on for a suspect in a series of business burglaries that occurred overnight in east Shreveport.

Officers were called to Cindies Fine Clothing in the 1100 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway just before 11:30 p.m Thursday, where the found that someone had broken in through the front glass doors.

Soon after, investigators learned of similar damage and items stolen from City Gear Clothing Store and also Tiger Vypes, both located in the 1200 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway and George's Grill located in the 100 block of East Kings Highway.
 
Shreveport Police patrol officers are now searching for a man they say evaded police capture after fleeing from a large U-Haul truck during a traffic stop Thursday night, which officers suspects to have been connected to the business burglaries.  Shreveport police say detectives are still continuing the investigation and are working to secure all evidence that would lead to the suspect's arrest.
