ATLANTA, TX (KSLA) -

Power has been restored to just over 2,000 customers in the Atlanta, TX area in Cass County, according to AEP SWEPCO, and crews are working to restore power to another 2,300.

SWEPCO spokesman Peter Main says the cause of the outage has not yet been determined, but it took out a substation and affected all 5 circuits connected to it.

Just under 3,000 were without power in New Boston in Bowie County as of late Monday morning, but Main says all but 500 customers are now re-connected.
