Man killed in Harrison County wreck identified

HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The identity of a man killed in a wreck in Harrison County on Thursday has been released.

Department of Public Safety troopers say 34-year-old James Henry Wilder of Marshall was traveling west on Highway 80 when his Pontiac Grand Prix left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned. The car then caught fire.

When state trooper arrived, they found the man trapped in the upside down burning car. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers believe the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel before the crash.

He was pronounced dead by a Harrison County justice of the peace and taken to Meadowbrook Funeral Home in Marshall.
