BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A prayer vigil was held Saturday evening for Ann Bond at Grace Community United Methodist Church.

Authorities have been searching for Bond since she was reported missing after not showing up to work this week.  Her estranged husband, Robert Bond, 53, shot himself as police approached his truck at a rest stop in southern Mississippi.

On Friday, Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington said his investigators are working on the presumption that the 46-year-old Bossier Parish woman is dead.

Robert Bond is in a Mississippi hospital recovering from what police say is a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.  Whittington says he is in serious condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

There is no word yet on whether he has made any statements to police or anyone else regarding the whereabouts of Ann Bond.
