SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport man accused of firing shots into a home with a mother and 2 young children inside has been arrested.

It happened back on October 10. Patrol officers were called to the home in the 4900 block of Rightway Avenue for reports of shots fired.  When they arrived, the officers found that the home had been struck multiple times by gunfire, allegedly fired by a former boyfriend of the woman inside.

During a continuing investigation into the shooting, police identified 24-year-old Joshua Chambers of Shreveport as the alleged shooter. While no one was injured during the incident, there was minor structural damage to the home itself.

On November 13, Chambers surrendered to authorities at the Shreveport City Jail on an outstanding warrant charging him with a single count of Illegal Use of a Weapon.  Bond in the matter has been set at $25,000.00.
