ULM signs Arcadia's Henderson in fall signing

ARCADIA, LA -

ULM announced its first signed commitment for the 2014-15 class on Wednesday afternoon, inking local product De'Anquinette Henderson to a letter of intent with the program.

The 5'6" point guard averages 22 points and 8.6 assists per contest for Arcadia High School, just under an hour away from Monroe. She is coached by Head Coach Ruby Qualls and Associate Head Coach De'Andre Alexander.

Henderson is a quick and very athletic point guard who has been starting for the Hornets since eighth grade. Not only can she operate as a pass-first option, she is also more than capable of handling the ball and scoring on her own. Henderson is a fantastic all-around player and will be an excellent addition to the Warhawk squad.

As an eighth grader in 2009-10, Henderson and Arcadia captured the 1A state championship and followed that with a runner-up performance in 2010-11. In 2011-12, Henderson was the District 2-1A MVP and was named First Team All-Area and Second Team All-State.
