LA Tech dominates Centenary in home opening win

RUSTON, LA (KSLA/Louisiana Tech Sports Information) -

Louisiana Tech had seven players score in double figures as the Bulldogs took down the Centenary Gents, 106-59, Wednesday night in the Thomas Assembly Center in front of a crowd of 3,942 in attendance.

 

The Bulldogs raced out of the gate with 63 points in the first half and never looked back, holding a 63-39 lead at the half. With the win, LA Tech extended its home winning streak to 19 games.

 

LA Tech was led by Cordarius Johnson who recorded a double-double and led all scorers and rebounders with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Also recording a double-double for the Bulldogs was Alex Hamilton, who scored 13 points and dished out 11 assists. Michale Kyser led the defensive charge with nine blocks in the contest.

 

Centenary was led by Jonathan Blount who scored 16 points. Also scoring in double digits for the Gents was Brooks Pawsat who added 11 points.

 

Louisiana Tech's next action comes Wednesday, November 20 when the Bulldogs travel to Conway, Ark. to take on the University of Central Arkansas in a 7 p.m. contest.
