2,000+ early vote in runoff election

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Already, hundreds voted early for the Senate District 21 Seat. The runoff for the Democratic and Republican nominees is November 12. 

Early voting ended Friday, November 8, with nearly 2,300 casting their ballots early.

1,067 voted Democrat, 1211 voted Republican.

In comparison, 2,700 voted early in the primary election on October 8.

The special election will take place on January 14 with either Radius Baker or Steve Rockwell as the Democratic nominee and John Cooper or Dan Sullivan as the Republican nominee. The winner will fill the District 21 seat vacated by former State Senator Paul Bookout.

If you didn't early vote and are looking to cast your ballot, you cannot vote at the Craighead County Election Annex. For a list of polling locations, click here.
