SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police have arrested a Shreveport man in connection with an attempted robbery in west Shreveport Sunday night.

Officers were called to the 900 block of W. 70 at around 1:20 a.m. for a report of an attempted robbery.

The female victim told police that she didn't know the PS Express gas station there was already closed when she pulled into the parking lot and was flagged down by a man that was later identified as 50-year-old Kenneth Garrison.

The victim told police Garrison jumped through her window when she rolled it down for him and began grabbing for items inside of the passenger's compartment of the vehicle and demanding money.

The victim resisted the attack and fought back to a point where she was able to get Garrison out of her vehicle. Garrison fled to the Fox Creek Apartments and the victim followed him and watched him enter an apartment. Police arrived a short time later and took Garrison into custody.

Garrison was booked into Shreveport City Jail on one count of Simple Robbery.
