SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport man has been arrested for allegedly robbing four people early Sunday morning.

It happened around 3:15 a.m. in the 1700 block of Gilbert Drive.

Shreveport Police say four men standing outside of their vehicle were approached by three people in a purple colored Chevrolet sedan.  One of the men in the purple car was armed with a handgun.  The armed man exited the car demanding money and other items from the victims.  After getting the merchandise, the gunman and other two men fled the scene.

None of the victims were injured.

After launching an investigation, police determined that the suspect might be at a home in the 200 block of Herndon Street.

Officers spotted a vehicle outside the residence closely matching the description of the suspect's vehicle.  Demond Robinson, 29, was taken into custody.

Robinson was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on four counts of armed robbery.
