SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Police have made an arrest in a shooting Friday night in Shreveport's Allendale neighborhood that left one man injured.

It happened around 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of Ford Street. The 19-year-old victim, now identified as Gino White, was taken to University Health Shreveport with wounds to his hand and cheek. His wounds are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the suspect, who fled the scene before police arrived, reportedly retrieved a handgun and shot White during the argument. Based on interviews and evidence gathered at the scene, police say they have identified that suspect as 19-year-old Quatrevious Washington.

Washington has been arrested and charged with a single count of attempted second degree murder and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
