Supermarket, radio station set 2 million goal in canned food drive

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

If you grocery shop at Safeway, try to grab an extra can of food and drop it in the box for the annual "Million Can Crusade."

KNIX Radio is teaming up with Safeway stores for the annual food drive, with the goal of collecting more than two million cans of food for families in need.

Safeway donated five thousand cans to kick start the campaign.

Since 2008, more than six million cans of food have fed hungry families in the Valley.
