MARSHALL, TX (KSLA) -

A fundraiser is being held on Saturday for a Marshall, Texas teacher who is recovering from a serious car crash.

Money raised at the benefit concert and silent auction at Charlie's Back Yard Bar in Downtown Marshall will help 4th grade David Crockett Elementary School teacher Stephanie McGilberry. McGilberry suffered serious injuries this summer when a semi-tractor trailer lost its load of pipe as she was driving in Oklahoma. State troopers say McGilberry was unable to avoid the pipes in the roadway.

Friends say McGilberry is now learning how to walk again.

The fundraiser at Charlie's Back Yard Bar is located at 303 North Columbus Street near Rusk Street. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 2nd. Admission is $15. Ages 21 and up only.

For more information, you can call 903-263-8958 or visit the Stephanie McGilberry facebook page.
