Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks set to open season on Saturday

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

After two weeks of training camp, the ABA Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks basketball team will find out just how much their hard work has paid off when the team hosts the Dallas Diesel this Saturday.

The exhibition game will be the team's first following its move the Ark-La-Tex this year.  The Mavericks franchise won back to back ABA championships in 2010 and 2011.  The team has cut down its roster to 14 and will cut 2 more following its game against Dallas on Saturday.

The Mavericks will play its home games at the Hirsch Coliseum but Saturday's game will be played at LSUS at 5:00 p.m. for general ticket information for this season Click Here.
