Deadlocked again: CPSB splits vote on superintendent candidates

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

The Caddo Parish School Board has deadlocked once again on a selection for superintendent of schools.

The board met this afternoon for a special session to choose from 3 finalists selected in the second round of the search for a superintendent of schools.

The first ended in August in tie vote between current interim superintendent Mary Nash Robinson and John Dilworth. Nash Robinson ended up bowing out and agreeing to serve as the interim superintendent and the school board opted to re-open the search.

This time around, the board is considering Terrence Brown, Theodis Goree and Tim Magner. They were selected from a list of 7 candidates offered by the same Nebraska firm that conducted the first search.

This time, the 6-6 vote was split between Timothy Magner and Theodis Goree.
