3 arrested in fatal Hearne Ave. gas station shooting

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police made 3 arrests in connection with a fatal shooting at a West Shreveport gas station over the weekend.

28-year-old Jonathan Davis was fatally shot while sitting in his car at the Raceway in the 3700 block of Hearne around 1:30 a.m. on October 12.

Police say Davis was shot during a shootout between a group of people in the parking lot of the convenience store. Davis was able to drive himself to University Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries.

Police released images from surveillance video of 2 vehicles they believe were directly involved in the shooting.

Since the release of the images, police say they have been able to link a local woman and 2 men to the crime. 

Shreveport Police investigators arrested 26-year-old Natarsha Howard and 27-year-old Carlos Edwards, along with 19-year-old Terry Johnson, all of Shreveport in connection to the murder.

Howard faces a single count of accessory after the fact to second degree murder, while Edwards and Johnson each face charges of second degree murder.

Following interviews with detectives, all three suspects were booked into the Shreveport City Jail.  Police say the investigation into the shooting is ongoing at this hour.
