SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police say a man fleeing from a traffic stop led them to 2 more unrelated arrests when the chase ended in a nearby apartment complex late Friday morning.

Police say it happened around 11:30 a.m., when an SPD officer attempted to pull 30-year-old Jamarea Anderson over in the 6700 block of Clift Street.

That's when the officer says Anderson jumped from the car and took off into an apartment complex nearby. The officer thought he saw a gun, but no shots were fired. When officers tracked him down inside one of those apartments, they also ended up arresting 2 people who were inside at the time.

25-year-old Kevin Cole is charged with obstruction of justice, because officers say he tried to flush narcotics down the toilet before police arrived.

27-year-old Quntina Johnson is charged with illegal use of a controlled substance in the presence of a minor and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

In addition to warrants out for Anderson on driving without a license, expired motor vehicle inspection sticker and driving while under suspension, Anderson is charged with resisting arrest. Police say no gun was found.
