(CNN) - Home heating bills are expected to increase this winter for most Americans, according to the U.S. Department of Energy's cost forecast, released this week.
Analysts predict households with natural gas will spend 13 percent more heating their homes this winter, compared to last year.
Propane users can expect a nine-percent jump. Those who use only electricity will likely pay two percent more.
Homes with heating oil - especially in the northeastern U.S. - may get a bit of a break. The DOE said oil prices look to be down about two percent.
