Crime scene near FM 450 in Harrison County
HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -
According to Harrison County Sheriff's Office, the body of a white female that was found near Interstate 20 Monday has been identified.
Through an autopsy it was determined that the body was that of a 51-year-old white female. Investigators have identified the victim, who is not from the East Texas area, and are withholding her name pending the discovery and notification of family.
Until a complete ruling on the cause of death has been determined, officials are still investigating this case as a homicide.
On Monday, the body of a female was discovered on an entrance ramp to Interstate 20 off of Farm to Market 450 in Hallsville. Two truck drivers traveling eastbound on Interstate 20 pulled over near FM 450 to inspect their tires. After pulling over, the drivers spotted something just off to the side of the roadway.
Upon closer inspection, they realized it was the body of a white female lying on her back with short blonde hair wearing only a light-blue pullover. Officials believe the body had only been there for a few hours.
