ETX soldier arrested in stabbing death of fellow soldier

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -
An East Texas active duty soldier is behind bars charged with the deadly stabbing of another soldier over the weekend.
Lakewood Police Department confirms Specialist Tevin Geike died early Saturday when a group of men stabbed him to death when he was walking along Pacific Highway Southwest.
ABC affiliate KOMO interviewed Geike's friend and witness to this crime, Specialist Brian Johnson.
Johnson told KOMO that he and a fellow soldier were helping Geike celebrate his last days in uniform when a car full of men drove by and shouted at them.
That confrontation led to Geike's brutal death.
One of the suspects arrested has been identified as Pfc. Cedarium L. Johnson of Sulphur Springs. According to the 7th Infantry Division, Johnson was assigned to 3-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 7th INfantry Division. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 2010.
They confirm Johnson joined the Army in March of 2012 and reported to One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Ga,. in the military Occupational Specialty 11B (Infantryman). Upon graduation, he was assigned to the 3-2 SBCT in July of 2012. He deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in July of 2012.
The three suspects arrested and Geike are all soldiers at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
"You were a traitor. You betrayed your country. At some point you served your country and now you killed a man who was doing the same," Specialist Brian Johnson reported to KOMO.
The reason behind the stabbing is unknown at this time.
