SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport woman is facing charges for allegedly setting fire to a vacant home.

Shreveport fire investigators arrested Jasmine Hill, 24, for simple arson.  Hill was arrested after she was identified by two people for allegedly setting fire to an abandoned home in the 2500 block of Lillian Street Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the home in the Queensborough neighborhood around 1:00 p.m.  The blaze was brought under control within 10 minutes.  

The home was a total loss.  Investigators estimate the damage to be at $10,000.

The simple arson charge carries a fine of up to $15,000 and 2 to 15 years in prison.
