New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham has been named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Month.
Graham is the first tight end to earn the recognition since the NFL started the award in 1986.
The tight end's incredible September included 27 receptions for 458 yards and six touchdowns.
Denver Broncos quarterback and New Orleans native Peyton Manning won the AFC Offensive Player of the Month.
New Orleans plays in Chicago against the Bears Sunday at Noon. The Saints currently hold a 2.5 game lead on second place Carolina, a three game lead on Atlanta and a four game lead on Tampa Bay in the NFC South.
