TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

A second victim in a deadly crash early Sunday morning in Texarkana, Texas has died, and the man accused of causing that wreck is now facing an additional charge of intoxication manslaughter.

Police say 38-year-old Chad Caldwell of Queen City was heading south in the 1400 block of N. State Line Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. in his 2006 Jeep, while 38-year-old Tameka Pavon of Texarkana, Texas was heading east on W. 14th Street in her 2005 Honda.

When Pavon entered the intersection of W. 14th and N. State Line, her vehicle was struck by Caldwell's.

Police say Caldwell disregarded the light at the intersection, and that alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Pavon died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Two passengers in Pavon's vehicle, Genaro Comacho and Jackals Hawkins, 34, were taken to a local hospital and were listed in serious condition. Hawkins later died as a result of his injuries.

Caldwell was arrested for intoxication manslaughter and booked into jail at the Bi-State Justice Center. Now, he faces an additional count of intoxication manslaughter. Bond has not been set.
