No charges for Marion Co. constable involved in family disturbance

MARION CO., TX (KSLA) -

There will be no charges for a Marion County constable involved in an argument with her sister that ended with the constable shooting out the tires of her own truck.

That's according to Marion County Sheriff David McKnight, who says they got a call about the sibling dustup Monday night around 9 p.m. at a home on CR 3503 in eastern Marion County.

Tiffany Wilson told deputies that had struck her sister, Precinct 2 Constable Taisha Wilson, with a notebook while inside the home at that location. Tiffany Wilson says Constable Wilson than went outside with a handgun, passing Tiffany, and firing 3 shots into her own truck.

McKnight says that was apparently because Taisha Wilson had been allowing her sister to drive her truck, and shooting out the tires disabled the vehicle so that it could not be driven.

Since the constable did not threaten her sister with the weapon or point it in her direction, Sheriff McKnight says she was not charged.

Tiffany Wilson was charged with simple assault.

McKnight says a full investigation will be presented to the district attorney to determine whether any more charges should be brought.
