Teleperformance to hold job fair Wednesday

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Teleperformance is holding a job fair Wednesday, seeking workers to fill some 400 jobs that are expected to become available this year as the company expands operations at its Shreveport call center.

The job fair will be held a Independence Stadium. Applicants will be directed to the club level of the stadium for the job fair, which will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The primary openings are for agents and managers with customer service or sales skills.

Those interested should apply online either before or after the job fair at www.teleperformance.com. The company's recruiting hotline is 1-800-731-4357.

The City of Shreveport is sponsoring the event along with the North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) and the Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC).

The company, which already has a local workforce of nearly 1,300, recently announced plans to create 740 new jobs at its Shreveport customer contact center over the next two years. The goal is to fill the remaining 340 jobs in 2014.
