1 seriously injured, gunman sought in Caddo Heights shooting

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Police have identified a man who was seriously injured in a shooting in Shreveport's Caddo Heights neighborhood, and police are still looking for the gunman.  

It happened just before 6 p.m. Officers were called to the scene in the 1400 block of Doris St. near Dowdell, where they found 31-year-old Daranski Wynder who had been shot in the face.

Wynder was rushed to LSU Hospital when injuries that are believed to be life-threatening. He has now been upgraded to stable condition.

Based on information gathered so far from witnesses at the scene, police believe Wynder was shot during an argument with another man who was a passenger in a white Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon.

Police say Wynder was in his car when the argument started, but they are still trying to determine whether the he was still inside the vehicle when the gunfire broke out.

Based on the number of shell casings found at the scene, police believe at least four shots were fired.

Police are still working to identify the white SUV, possibly a 90's model Chevy Tahoe. The gunman is described as a thin build black male with bushy hair, in his early thirties.  Police say anyone with information about the shooting should contact Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
