NEW ORLEANS, LA (WWL-TV) -

Family, friends and others in the community are preparing to say their final good-byes to a police dispatcher in New Orleans killed by a suspected drunk driver.

According to WWL-TV, Paulette Brown was known for helping others, and even though she is dead, she has found a way to continue to give to those in need.

Brown was taken off of life support late last week and her family said her liver, lungs, heart and eyes will all be donated.

According to a traffic court report, Andrew Merchant, 28, hit Brown head-on last weekend on I-610.

A memorial fund has been set up in Paulette Brown's honor at any Capital One Bank.

Visitation will be held Monday at St. Leo the Great Church in Gentilly.
