AUBURN, AL - Nick Marshall made a statement as Auburn's quarterback Saturday night, throwing an 11-yard touchdown to C.J. Uzomah with 10 seconds remaining to give the Tigers a 24-20 win over Mississippi State.

The dramatic win snapped Auburn's 10-game SEC losing streak.

Marshall completed 6-of-8 passes on the final 76-yard drive. He completed a 37-yard pass to himself on a deflection earlier in the ball game, but the offense otherwise struggled after the first quarter, and the defense allowed Bulldogs quarterback Dak Prescott to gain big yards up the middle.

MSU (1-2, 0-1 SEC) overtook Auburn 20-14 early in the third quarter on consecutive Prescott runs of 47, nine and two yards.

Cody Parkey started the scoring for Auburn (3-0, 1-0) on a 40-yard field goal on the first drive. Marshall hit Quan Bray on a 76-yard scoring pass, and the Tigers converted a two-point conversion for an 11-0 lead with 4:54 left in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs narrowed the game on a 14-yard TD run by Jameon Lewis with 4:09 left in the quarter.

Parkey hit a 19-yard field goal with 13:36 left in the second quarter and hit a 47-yard field goal with 9:53 left in the third.

LSU went back to work this week in preparation for the Citrus Bowl against Notre Dame. A win would be nice, but this is also a chance to get some freshman playing time to get ready for 2018. Well it'll come in practice only. "Those guys will get more reps. So I'll give them a couple of more reps at the end of a team period. It's sending the wrong message to our football team.
