SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

An argument between two men ended with one man being stabbed and the other sitting in jail.

Shreveport Police officers were called to a reported stabbing in the 3200 block of Alabama Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

Michael Rawls, 49, and Willie Evans, 54, were involved in some type of argument that turned physical, investigators said.

During the exchange, police say Evans stabbed Rawls.  He was taken to the hospital with what are being described as potentially life-threatening injuries.

Evans fled the scene and was arrested several hours later at a home in the 2900 block of Boss Avenue without incident.

Evans was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of attempted second degree murder.
