SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Part of N. Market Street has been reopened after an 18-wheeler loaded with used cooking oil  rolled over on I220 in north of Shreveport Wednesday.

It happened shortly before 7 p.m., when the southbound big rig toppled while exiting I220. While authorities on the scene say there was no major leak, about 40,000 lbs of grease will need to be offloaded and a wrecker brought in to upright the rig.

As a result, N. Market was shut down in both directions while crews cleared the scene.

Shreveport police say the driver was exiting I-220 too fast, causing the rollover. He was taken to LSU Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The big rig was coming from Houston and heading to the Regal Byproducts rendering plant when the wreck happened.
